In 2016, Habib Khan joined the Office of Research Safety at the University of Chicago as a Chemical Safety Officer. He holds a Master of Public Health in environmental and occupational health from Saint Louis University and Bachelor of Arts in chemistry with minor in biology from the University of Missouri Kansas City.

Prior to arriving at UChicago, Habib worked as an industrial hygienist for Kansas State University and a geothermal company in Southern California. He brings five years of experience with industrial hygiene, safety, and training in both academia and industry. He has experience with issues such as indoor air quality, noise surveys, and occupational exposure assessments and monitoring, and and has had the opportunity to work with a variety of professionals. He has developed materials for programs for all levels of presentation and at all levels of comprehension. He is excited to work at the university and fulfill the department's mission.
