Scott graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in History and a minor in Russian. He has had a wide range of positions across the Chicago metro area, including three years as a hazard communication specialist at a chemical manufacturer. In 2025, he started at UChicago as a Radiation Safety Specialist.
