Amal graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s in Radiation Health Physics with a graduation project focused on the Decommissioning of Cobalt-60 Sources in Gamma Knife Machines at Medical Centers. Amal was trained in nuclear safeguards at The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Amal earned an apprenticeship opportunity as a visiting health physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Lab. Her interests include: nuclear policy, emergency response and radioecology.
