In March of 2014, Terri Walczak joined the Radiation Safety team as a health physicist. Terri’s environmental science education kick started her career working at the Illinois EPA and Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA). She started her transition into radiation safety (health physics) with IEMA for 2 years and then worked as a health physics consultant for nearly 5 years with a local consulting firm before joining our team. Terri brings with her the knowledge of regulatory requirements and working with regulatory agencies which has had a positive impact on the University’s radiation safety program. She enjoys working with the research and clinical communities and assisting anyone in need of radiation safety services so give her a call if you need assistance.
